Banks have a glut of fore closures on their books at unheard of levels, they need to sell them quickly, people in pre-foreclosure need to sell fast to avoid foreclosure and ruining their credit.
Every day I see properties for sale at 20–50% of what they sold for 2–3 years ago.
I just looked at a 1600 square foot condo 1 block across the street from the beach in the Fort Lauderdale area , 2/2, wood floors, renovated bathrooms that was purchased in 2006 for $400,00.
It is a pre-foreclosure and is listed for $197,000.
Unbelievable, don’t you think?
